Who We Are....
A northern Ohio community with a population of approximately 16,000, Norwalk is the county
seat of Huron County and is located midway between Cleveland and Toledo. The Ohio Turnpike,
five miles north of town via State Route 250, provides direct access to the entire interstate
network.
Numerous parks, golf courses, and easy access to Lake Erie with its many recreational features
(17 miles) provide Norwalk area residents with all the elements for good living. These are
supplemented by the many cultural and recreational attractions in Cleveland, Toledo, Akron and
Wooster (all within 60 miles). Housing of all types and prices is available in pleasant
established and new neighborhoods.
The newly revitalized downtown and small shopping centers continue to supply most of the area
residents' needs. Mall shopping is available in Sandusky (12 miles) and Lorain/Elyria (25 miles).
Norwalk boasts two industrial parks. Firelands Industrial Park in the north section and Commerce
Fields Industrial Park in the east section of our city. Plans are being considered for an
industrial corridor linking these parks with other potential industrial land.
